Animal Tracks

Week 2 of our Mother Goose Time’s “Sights & Sounds of Winter” theme was about sights and sounds found outdoors.
Here’s some of the things we covered on Animal Tracks day.

We talked about what some of the different animals that we might see during the winter time.

Circle Time activities!

Our first activity for the day was making a Reindeer headband!

Miss M made the antlers out of tracings of her hands and she decorated them. Mommy helped put the headband all together :)

Then we read a little story about Tracks in the Snow.
I read the story and then Miss M and I would hop, run, or tiptoe depending on the animal track encountered in the story.

And then we played a little animal tracks game.
We first talked about which animals we think have big footprints and which ones have small ones. Then we picked a color for our section of the game board (although Miss M wanted to use all of them) and took turns playing until all the spaces were covered in our sections.

Here are a couple more activities we did from our Little Goose teacher guide.
