Week 1 of our Mother Goose Time’s “Sights & Sounds of Winter” theme was all about the different types of instruments that make up an orchestra.

Here’s some of the things we covered on Woodwind day.

We talked about what sounds the wind makes and tried to imitate some.

Circle Time activities!

Our first activity for the day was Find the Flute.

We talked about what sounds we hear and then tried to match up the pictures on the theme poster to our little looking glasses.

Next we played a game called the Woodwind Game.

Miss M would roll the cube and whatever color it’d land on, she’d try to put her fingers on those colors on our woodwind.

We also had fun making a little kazoo!
